#LC2017 #HistorySarah Ní Chonghaile - Ratoath CollegeHonestly I was happy with the DBQ but I knew before I went in that I wouldn't get as much as I wanted written because my hand was already cramped from the week of intense writing prior! I was delighted to see partition on the sovereignty and partition section and the civil rights movement in the north reared its head in the NI section which I was delighted with. I wasn't too happy with the choices for the American section but I ended up doing a question about the American presidents' actions and if they were for good of America ( I detailed on war and said that it wasn't good and so on!) #LC2017 #ClassicalStudiesSarah Ní Chonghaile - Ratoath CollegeHonestly, I was delighted with this paper as the sculpture and painting questions were very straight forward. I did the two Aeneid questions as I could spend all day criticising Aeneas- abandoning your girlfriend hmmm I smell a rat! I liked the Alexander the Great question about his relationships with women as I'd prepared that last month! The Oedipus question was very nice as well as it required me to use my critical thinking skills quite a bit! Katie Dignam - Ratoath CollegeI was very happy with the exam and think it went very well. All the questions were pretty straightforward and manageable. I answered on the Odyssey and the theme of hospitality which was a nice question as this is a very central theme. I answered on both Oedipus and Medea and I was happy with these questions as they were both on scenes that I was familiar with and had done questions on before. I was also happy with Alexander as there was a question on a battle and I was delighted that portrait sculpture came up as I didn't get around to studying relief sculpture.  #LC2017 #GermanGabriele Grudyte - St. Mary's Holy Faith Secondary School, KillesterToday I sat the German leaving cert paper. The one subject I love the most. I'm so happy with the way it turned out the topics that came up were amazing, couldn't have asked for a better paper.I'm a very slow writer so for me timing was always an issue, however I finished the exam right on time this time. I don't know what else I can say, I'm overall very happy with the German.If you do German I suggest you focus on the reading comprehensions. And then the letter and then the theme question and finally the Grammar.Quidditch came up in the aural, which is the last place I expected to come actually I never expected it to come up at all. #JC2017 #HomeEcKatelyn Dunne - Ratoath CollegeHome ec is one of my all time favourite subjects. However I was still extremely nervous for the exam (like everyone is). I had a vague idea of what would kinda come up, but still pretty clueless of what I was to expect considering a lot of the papers had changed a little already. When I was given the paper I started of by looking through it first. I looked pretty good. I started of with the short questions and the where easy enough got stuck on one or two but that wasn't that bad then I did the long questions. I did question 1,3,4 and 5. They were straight forward. After the exam I feel it was fair and was similar to other year.#StateExams2017
